Music production

Your song, from idea to delivery.

We plan, record and produce your project, drawing on Julián Gil's experience as a producer and sound engineer.

Approach

Technique and artistic judgment at the same desk.

A production doesn't come together on good gear alone, or on talent alone. Every decision about arrangement, takes and sound answers to what the song needs and who will hear it.

That is why we start by understanding the artist and where the project is headed before opening a session. If you are also building your career, production can connect with the eight-phase method and with our label work.

What it covers

The stages of a production.

Your project can include all of them or only the ones it needs. Each proposal puts that in writing.

Recording planning

Repertoire, priorities, order of work and what needs to be ready before recording.

Pre-production

Structure, key, arrangements and references, so you arrive at the session with decisions made.

Recording

Capturing vocals and instruments according to the project's format.

Music production

Directing the song: arrangements, sound and identity from start to finish.

Sound engineering

Technical judgment throughout the process, so every take serves the final version.

Process

How we run a project.

Six steps, with the scope clear before we begin.

  1. Consultation

You tell us what you want to make and where it stands, and share demos or references.

  2. Scope

We define the work: songs, stages, sessions, delivery formats and number of revisions.

  3. Proposal

You get the scope, fees and terms in writing, including the rights to what is produced.

  4. Production

We work through the agreed stages and share progress at the points we defined.

  5. Review

You listen, comment and we adjust within the planned revisions.

  6. Delivery

You receive the files in the agreed formats, ready for their next step.

Mixing and mastering

Experience with credits, not a rate card.

Many of Julián's credits are for mixing and mastering. That experience is listed in the credits of published releases.

We don't publish a per-song rate. If your project only needs this stage, tell us and we'll review whether we can take it on and under what terms.

Questions

Before you start.

How much does it cost to produce a song?
It depends on the scope. Fees are set in the proposal, once we know your project.
How many revisions are included?
They are agreed per project and written into the proposal, along with sessions and delivery formats.
Who owns the rights to what is produced?
That is set per project, in the agreement you sign. We don't take it for granted either way.
Can you guarantee streams or a deal?
No. We commit to the agreed work, not to market results.
Do you work with outside artists?
Yes, you can tell us about your project. Working on a production doesn't imply an agreement with the label.
